The Montessori education philosophy was developed more than a century ago by Italian doctor and educator, Dr Maria Montessori (1870-1952). Today, it has been adopted by more than 22,000 schools around the world and is increasingly recognised as being at the forefront of meeting children and young adult’s developmental needs.

Dr Montessori based her philosophy on 45 years of observation and work with children.
