The day is designed as an end of year celebration day. We wish to build connections with our new year 7s, enjoy the great outdoors and practice managing ourselves and our gear in preparation for Odyssey in 2021.  

We will be travelling by bus from school at 9.15am and we will arrive back on site by 3pm. Once we have arrived at Days Bay and completed our safety briefing, students will have the freedom to move between different areas at Days Bay. We will have staff supervising the beach, wharf and grassed areas by the pavilion. Students will be allowed to make purchases from the cafe and shop throughout the day. 

Students will need to bring the following items for the day trip. Please ask your student to name as many items as possible to help us reacquaint misplaced items with owners at the end of the day. 

• Day pack
• Sunhat
• Sunscreen
• Togs
• Beach towel
• Warm clothing
• Jacket
• Water bottle
• Lunch and snacks 
• Money for the cafe (this is optional and must be self managed)
• Personal medications if required
• Fishing gear, beach gear or sports activities are optional and students must be responsible for their own equipment. 
• No cellphones or digital devices please.

Parents are welcome to pop in and visit throughout the day however, we also want to try and encourage as much independence and self management as possible please.
