Permanent, Part Time, PE Teacher (High School)

Wā Ora Montessori School is an Area School based in Lower Hutt, Wellington, catering for approximately 300 children and is the only Montessori School in New Zealand that nurtures the child from 0 to 18years. We are a community-based school with close connections to our whānau (families).

Wā Ora Montessori School is seeking a Permanent, Part-time PE Teacher (0.51FTTE) to join our friendly and collaborative High School teaching team. The ideal candidate will have New Zealand teacher registration and prior experience teaching students from Yr8-Yr13 (12-18yrs of age) and knowledge of the NCEA PE curriculum would be an advantage. A willingness and ability to take part in the special instruction appropriate to the Special Character of our school is a condition of appointment also.

The position is delivered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The hours are Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8.30-11.45am for Yr11-13, and Wednesday 8.30am-3.15pm for Yr8-10. The start date for this position is the beginning of Term 2, Monday 22nd July, 2024.

Permanent Part Time Te Reo Teacher (0.51FTTE) – High School and Primary School

Wā Ora Montessori School in Lower Hutt, Wellington is seeking a Permanent Part Time Te Reo Teacher for 0.51FTTE for a start date in Term 3, 2024.

We are an Area School catering for approximately 300 children and the only Montessori School in New Zealand that nurtures the child from 0-18yrs. Wā Ora is a community-based school with close connections to our whānau.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in Te Reo, have current New Zealand teacher registration and be capable of teaching students from Yr1-Yr10 (6-15yrs of age). There is also potential for the successful candidate to be appointed in a Fixed Term 0.09FTTE position for our Yr11-13 College students (15-18yrs of age). The position is delivered on Tuesdays and Thursdays – 12-15yr olds in the morning and 6-12yr olds in the afternoon. The Fixed Term component would be delivered on Monday afternoons for 15-18yr olds.
