A Rainbow-Filled Thank You!
A huge thank you to our wonderful PTA for putting on such a fantastic Rainbow Disco on Friday night! It was brilliant to see such an amazing turnout and Wā Ora bursting with colour, music, dancing and plenty of happy faces. A huge amount of mahi went into organising the evening and bringing all those colourful details together, and it certainly showed!
A very special thank you also to the High School rangatahi who volunteered their time to help on the night. You were an invaluable part of the team, pitching in wherever needed and helping everything run so smoothly. We are incredibly grateful for your support.
And, of course, thank you to all our whānau who came along and supported the evening. Events like these take a huge amount of work behind the scenes, and it was wonderful to see that effort rewarded with such a fabulous turnout.
Ngā mihi nui to everyone who helped make the Rainbow Disco such a fun and memorable night for our tamariki! 🌈✨

Online GP Care – Another Option for Whānau
With winter bugs doing the rounds and GP appointments sometimes difficult to get at short notice, we wanted to make whānau aware of Online GP Care, available through Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora.
The service connects you with registered healthcare professionals for non-urgent health concerns via video or phone, with online GP services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Online GP Care can help with many common health concerns, including coughs, colds and flu, allergies, tummy bugs, skin irritations and rashes, as well as prescriptions and medical certificates. It's free for tamariki and you can register with any available online consultation service.

Base 5
Last Friday, we had Craig from Softball Hutt Valley visit our school to show our 9-12 tamariki how to play Base 5 for the upcoming Base 5 Festival. This festival is an event where our years 5&6 children had the opportunity to volunteer themselves to represent our school. So what is Base 5?
Base 5 is like softball. However, the batter hits the rubber ball with their hand, fist or arm. Rules are similar to softball. A batter needs to get around all 4 bases to score a point. They can only have one player per base. A batter can be out if they are caught on the foul, a fielder receives the ball on the base before the batter gets there, a batter is tagged with the ball while not on a base. Three outs and there is an innings change - five innings per game.
