Your Montessori Baby: Parent Education Series

Sep 19 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)
Weekly on the same day until Sep 19, 2017

Would you like to learn how to introduce Montessori elements into your parenting of your baby or toddler?

Come along to our 6-week series of talks to learn how simple it is to bring Montessori into your home and the care of your little ones. Inspired by many of our playgroup and preschool parents, who have said time and again, “I wish I had known this earlier”.

A very common example of this is parents asking about the Montessori approach to toilet learning for their child at 2 years or older, when children are most receptive to this around 12-18 months and so the window has passed.

The talks will cover an Introduction to Montessori (history, philosophy, terminology), independence (toilet learning, dressing, eating etc), communication, movement and self discipline (home environment and practical life).

This series is for adults only to attend, however if you have a non-mobile baby (in a sling or carseat), you may bring them along. We are unable to accommodate mobile babies, toddlers or preschoolers at these talks to ensure parents and caregivers attending can concentrate on all the information presented and that distractions are minimised.

The education series will run for 6 weeks starting on Tuesday, 15th August from 1:30pm to 2:30pm. The cost will be $50 for the 6 weeks and numbers will be limited to ensure a personal and friendly environment with time for questions and answers.

To reserve your place or ask any questions, please email Dannielle King at dannielle@waora.school.nz.

She will confirm the event with you, send you details for making payment and closer to the time, provide course content specifics.

We look forward to sharing the joy of Montessori for your baby with you soon.
