Children will need  lunch and snacks, a water bottle with water only, good walking shoes, appropriate clothing for the weather that can be removed and carried if needed, a backpack that is empty of any extraneous bits and bobs, which they can carry themselves and the usual sunhat. Sunscreen should be applied before coming to school:-)
